Dialects The language differs somewhat from Eastern Cham of central Viet Nam.

Comments Roman script under discussion in USA and elsewhere. Muslim (Sunni).

Population 4,000 in Thailand.
Region Ban Khrue, Bangkok, and possibly in refugee camps.

Language use There are conflicting reports about whether the people in Thailand still speak Cham or have shifted to Central Thai.
Comments Austro-Asiatic influences. They are thought to be remnants of Cham who fought in the Thai army about 200 years ago. Muslim.

Population 25,000 in Viet Nam. Population includes 4,000 in Saigon.
Region An Giang and Tay Ninh provinces and Ho Chi Minh City.

Comments The language differs somewhat from Eastern Cham of central Viet Nam. Muslim.
